Sophia graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Special Education. Her journey began with her brother Dawson's autism diagnosis at 18 months old. Sophia's deep connection to Dawson inspired her to pursue a career in special education after witnessing his navigation of the autism spectrum.

After five years of teaching in the special education system, Sophia identified a need for services beyond traditional education methods. This realization led her to found SpectrumSafe, merging her passion for caregiving with her desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with special needs.

Looking ahead, Sophia remains committed to her mission of caring for Dawson while expanding SpectrumSafe's outreach to support more families in need. Outside of her work, Sophia enjoys reading, spending time with her 2 and a half year old daughter and her fiance Kasey. She can’t start her days without coffee and has to get a vanilla Dr. Pepper or cranberry limeade from Sonic at least 7 days a week.
